PROVIDING THESE MINE ENGINEERING SERVICES

  • Concept studies are generally the first stage in assessing the potential of a project and developing a viable solution to help attract finance for the next stages of development.

The Pre-Feasibility Study is arguably the most important stage in the study process. The PFS provides the opportunity to optimize the project and choose a basis of design that aligns with the owner’s objectives, provides improved returns and reduces risk. All material technical parameters should be identified to allow reporting to the major CRIRSCO codes.

The Feasibility Study is the most costly stage and generally only one option is taken to this level of detail. By this stage all material risks should be identified and mitigated providing a project with a sound basis for making the investment decision.

Effective study management is crucial at all levels to ensure cost effective results that match the level of input data available. Matching the study confidence level with the Ore Reserve estimation, listing documents and critical reviews is essential.

Mark can manage studies at all confidence levels for clients or consulting groups.

  • Effective mine design incorporates Modifying Factors from all parts of a project, not just mine planning. This is becoming more important as stakeholder expectations increase and reporting Codes are adjusted to suit.

Mark’s operations and consulting experience provides an ideal base for developing and reviewing project designs that integrate with overall minesite plans, as well as supervising the construction and commissioning of mining operations as owner’s representative.

  • Operations review and management leads to improve outcomes in the pit. Improved safety, increased productivity and reduced cost of production are key drivers.

Mark has been-there-and-done-that, providing solid experience for management and commissioning of operations.
